I am Prof. Dr. Pınar Yalınay Dikmen, a neurologist practicing since 2000 with a dedicated clinical focus on headache medicine, migraine, and vestibular (dizziness-related) disorders. After graduating from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine, I completed my residency in Neurology. I then pursued a Master’s degree in Electrophysiology at the Institute of Experimental Medicine (DETAE), which enabled me to develop a comprehensive clinical perspective that includes not only the brain but also the peripheral nervous system. This dual focus has strengthened my ability to evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of neurological conditions.
Since the establishment of Acıbadem University School of Medicine in 2007, I have been a faculty member in the Department of Neurology, contributing to both education and research. My long-standing interest in headache disorders has led me to engage actively in national and international scientific communities. As a European Board–Certified neurologist with a particular expertise in headache medicine, I have conducted numerous studies on migraine, other headache disorders, and electrophysiology. I have authored more than 50 international scientific publications and delivered many presentations at national and international congresses. My research, especially in migraine, has helped inform and shape contemporary clinical practice.

This delay seriously reduces their quality of life.

Many patients describe this pain as "unbearable," "burning," or "as if my eye is being gouged out." Cluster headache is a relatively rare headache disorder that occurs in approximately 0.1% of the general population. However, cluster headache can seriously affect a person's daily life, work performance, and sleep pattern.
